What are the dimensions of Moonpod?
Moonpod is an amorphous shape, thus, its dimensions will vary. However, the approximate dimensions are about 56 inches x 22 inches x 22 inches.

How much does Moonpod weigh?
One of the best things about Moonpod is that it’s actually super light! Each Moonpod weighs about 12 pounds.

Is Moonpod machine washable?
Moonpod’s outer shell is a proprietary blend of fabric that is completely machine washable in cold water with similar colors. To dry Moonpod’s outer shell, tumble-dry on low heat.

Where is your product made and what do you do to ensure ethically sound production methods?
Our product has three main components. The outer and inner shells are a proprietary mixture of fabrics you would see in everyday clothing (polyester, cotton, spandex). Additionally, we extensively screened all of our manufacturing partners and are proud to say that Moonpod is safely produced.

To ensure the most cost-efficient production we’ve chosen to partner with a manufacturer in China to produce the outer and inner shells. For the inner filling and assembly, we partnered with manufacturers right here in the US to fill, assemble and ship Moonpod right to your door!

Most recently, John Fiorentino created the world-famous weighted blanket, which has shipped tens of thousands of blankets. Additionally, our team is comprised of serial entrepreneurs who all have previous or ongoing consumer products businesses.

When will the first batch of Moonpods ship?
Moonpod will be ready to ship about 8-12 weeks after the campaign is over. Unfortunately, predicting demand is an inexact science and these times could vary depending on the number of Moonpods we need to make. We’ll be in touch with our backers throughout the project to ensure that everyone is in the loop!

Who is the team behind Moonpod?
Moonpod is led by John Fiorentino, a serial entrepreneur who has designed and brought several products to market that have achieved mainstream success, including handbags and fragrances. More information about John can be found above in the campaign.
The team is supported by a group of manufacturing, logistics, sales, marketing and PR professionals, who have worked with some of the biggest brands in the world.
Manufacturing: Because of our reputation from the weighted blanket project, we’re lucky enough to work with some of the biggest manufacturing partners in the world. Our partners have shipped have created products for some of the biggest consumer companies in the world.
Logistics: We’ve secured a US-based warehouse and assembly partner to take Moonpod from parts in a warehouse to your doorstep.
Sales, PR and Marketing: Moonpod has partnered with a few agency partners to who specialize in helping small companies scale product awareness and distribution.

How are you managing stretch goals?
We’re confident in the delivery of our stretch goals (if we hit our pledge goals, of course). Our manufacturing partners have assured us that producing additional colors of the outer sleeve will be a breeze. We’re just hoping to be able to hit our minimums to give you the power of choice!

What is the fill made out of?
Moonpod is filled with a custom density EPS bead. Moonpod’s inner fill is brand new and will last for years.
We’re proud to say that we’ve partnered with with a fully sustainable manufacturer that recycles all of their unused materials from every other type of project they work on into each subsequent project.

Is the cover washable?
Yes! To clean your Moonpod zip off the outer shell, wash in cold water with like colors, and tumble dry on low heat. After the shell is dry, you can put it back on.
Turn the dry shell inside out and place on your Moonpod by matching the corners. Flip the cover onto the rest of your Moonpod. Making sure to match up the curve of the outer shell with the rest of your Moonpod to ensure it feels just like it did before.

Does the fill get compressed and stale over time?
Moonpod’s materials are brand new and made to last for years! Over the course of many years if you feel your Moonpod sagging a bit, just remove the outer cover and give it a wash via the instructions above.

How is this project going to be different than Gravity?
The Moonpod team is taking different steps, and implementing different processes to ensure a successful delivery to all backers. An example is that we made the decision to ship to only the 48 contiguous United States.
By focusing our efforts on fulfilling orders within the 48 contiguous US States, we plan to limit the number of transit issues.
With a new and seasoned team, and by implementing different core processes we hope to deliver Moonpod to all of our incredible backers safely and on schedule.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
